Kids yell down the street, they ride by on their bikes with water guns. The Oklahoma sun is in full blaze, hot enough that if you put and egg on the ground it would cook its self. Sweat pours down a little girls face mixing with her tears, “why am I so stupid?” she thins to herself, “why can’t I just read?” she sits on a blanket telling herself she can’t play until she can at lest read ten pages, yet all she could was cry harder as she had a harder time with every page.
All summer the little girl worked at just trying to finish a 2nd grade book, she would be in the 3rd grade the next ye
